The North East Human Factors Network approached us to develop a bespoke online resource which would be a co-operative venture to bring together in one place examples of best practice in the application of human factors theory in clinical settings. Also called Ergonomics, Human Factors brings together a variety of different scientific disciplines (e.g. psychology, anatomy, biomechanics, engineering) that provide an explanation of how humans function. The HEE NE Human Factors Network was established to support the HEE NE Faculty of Patient Safety in delivering the Patient Safety Agenda via Human Factors training.
